What is your level of experience with Garry’s Mod construction and tools?

Tools in general I am quite adept with them but I am mediocre at best with building

Why do you want to become a Gamemaster?

I want to become a Gamemaster for the Reborn Jedi vs Sith server because I am passionate about immersive storytelling and bringing the Star Wars universe to life in engaging and memorable ways. I’ve spent a great deal of time in this community and understand the importance of high-quality roleplay, balanced narrative design, and player engagement. Becoming a Gamemaster would allow me to contribute directly to the experience of others—crafting storylines that not only entertain but give players a meaningful sense of progression, consequence, and choice. Whether it’s a Jedi uncovering an ancient temple or a Sith facing internal betrayal, I aim to create moments that players talk about long after the event ends.

Beyond creativity, I’m organized, responsive, and understand the responsibility that comes with the GM role. I value fairness, pacing, and keeping players involved regardless of their faction or rank. I’m also comfortable improvising when players make unexpected decisions and can tie their choices back into the broader narrative. Most importantly, I want to help the server thrive—not just by running events, but by fostering an environment where everyone feels immersed, respected, and inspired to keep coming back.

Why should the community support your application, and what makes you more qualified than other players?

What makes me a more qualified applicant than many other players is my extensive experience and proven leadership in the role of Gamemaster. I’ve been running events and crafting immersive roleplay scenarios for over four years, with a strong track record of engagement, creativity, and adaptability. I’ve held Senior GM positions on both Tamewater CWRP and Garnet Gaming CWRP, where I not only executed high-quality events but also mentored new GMs, helped refine event standards, and contributed to community retention through consistent narrative arcs. My time as part of the Upper Administration on Tamewater allowed me to lead the Gamemaster Team, ensuring all events were organized, lore-consistent, and designed to create lasting impact for both Jedi and Clone factions.

What sets me apart isn't just my technical knowledge or storytelling skill—it’s my understanding of what makes a community thrive. I know how to balance staff responsibilities with player enjoyment, how to manage both large-scale operations and small, character-driven narratives, and how to collaborate effectively with staff teams across departments. I take initiative, adapt quickly to server-specific lore or systems, and am always focused on raising the bar for RP quality. My history demonstrates that I’m not just capable of doing the job—I’m someone who actively builds and sustains a strong event culture that players look forward to.

Have you ever assisted in an event on Reborn in the past?

I have not assisted in running an event on Reborn as of yet.

How well could you adapt to unplanned circumstances in something you have planned?

That's the fun of RP is how each person will react and interact with the environment designed for them, I never strictly plan for a series of events but a loose but cohesive storyline that almost regardless of unplanned circumstances will result in a complete story whether or not the players succeed in their mission or not.

What interests you most in the Star Wars universe?

The Duality and Philosophy of the Force

At the heart of Star Wars lies the Force—not just as a power, but as a spiritual, philosophical force that represents balance, choice, and consequence. What makes it fascinating is the contrast between light and dark, and the fact that neither side holds a monopoly on truth. Jedi emphasize peace, serenity, and detachment, while Sith embrace passion, strength, and self-empowerment. But figures like the Gray Jedi, the Bendu, and the Aing-Tii monks prove there are many ways to understand and use the Force. The Force isn’t just magic—it’s a lens through which morality, destiny, and identity are explored.

Ancient Artifacts and Holocrons

Scattered across the galaxy are holocrons, Force-imbued weapons, and Sith alchemy relics that preserve knowledge from times long forgotten. These items aren’t just tools—they are dangerous, sacred, or enlightening, often housing the spirits or imprints of long-dead Force users. A Jedi holocron might unlock forgotten techniques from the Old Republic, while a Sith artifact like the Mask of Nihilus or the Dagger of Mortis could corrupt a user or reveal forbidden truths. These relics connect players and characters to a larger legacy, bridging eras and raising stakes far beyond the battlefield.

Lost Civilizations and Hidden Orders

From the Rakatan Infinite Empire to the Zeffo, Keldor monks, and Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, Star Wars is rich with the ruins of civilizations who lived and shaped the Force differently than the modern Jedi or Sith. Exploring these places isn’t just archaeological—it’s spiritual. These ruins often challenge current beliefs, suggesting that the Force was once viewed as a whole, or used in ways now deemed heretical or lost. The Mortis gods, World Between Worlds, and Vergences in the Force further deepen the mystery, showing that the Force is far more ancient and enigmatic than most realize.

Now, taking what most interests you, craft a high-quality multi-part storyline (with characters, branches, anything that you see fit) that you could create multiple events from.

“Echoes of the Hollow Force”

PREMISE

An ancient Force relic has re-emerged from obscurity—an artifact known as the Hollow Keystone, linked to a mysterious, pre-Republic order of Force users known only as The Orax Syndics, who believed in draining the Force to restore cosmic balance. The artifact can absorb Force energy—light or dark—and its growing power begins to warp the environment, corrupt minds, and awaken long-buried secrets across the galaxy.

Who will claim it? And at what cost?

📜 ARC STRUCTURE OVERVIEW

The storyline unfolds in 4 main Acts, each with 2–3 events and interlinked side opportunities. Players' choices and how they treat certain NPCs or locations will affect future outcomes.

ACT I – "The Keystone Rises"

Event 1: “Whispers in Stone”

  • Location: Ancient temple on the outer rim world of Morvax Prime, buried under the sand.
  • Objective: Jedi and Sith arrive on a distress call—an excavation crew has uncovered something ancient and dangerous.
  • Key Characters:
    • Dr. Ceren Thal: A neutral Force archaeologist who requests protection.
    • Captain Vorn: A mercenary leader secretly working for a shadow client.
  • Branch: Will the players secure the relic with caution, or rush its extraction and awaken its dormant effects?
  • Twist: The artifact pulses when touched, and one NPC (or player) hears a whisper: “The Balance is Hollow.”

Event 2: “Eyes Beneath the Surface”

  • Objective: Explore the inner sanctum of the temple.
  • Encounters: Force manifestations—echoes of Orax Syndics—appear as ghostly visions. Combat is optional; some can be reasoned with.
  • Dilemma: One vision offers the party insight into a “third path” between light and dark—but only if they feed the Keystone a portion of their own Force essence.
  • Outcome Impact: If players refuse, the path will close later. If accepted, the relic grows stronger and more volatile.

ACT II – “Shatterpoint”

Event 3: “The Forked Flame”

  • Location: Jedi Temple OR Sith Archives (factionalized event)
  • Objective: Analyze the Keystone. Jedi seek to cleanse it; Sith aim to unlock its power.
  • Roleplay-Focused: Encourage scholars, sages, and Force mystics to conduct rituals, tests, or research with varying success.
  • Twist: Force-sensitive players begin to feel symptoms—dreams, visions, or physical fatigue. The artifact is feeding.
Event 4: “When Spirits Bleed”
  • Location: The haunted ruin of Zeffo crypts
  • Objective: Track a fragment of the Orax Codex to understand the relic’s full nature.
  • Challenges: Puzzle-based environmental RP, Force-sensitives must align or resist strange illusions.
  • Branch: Players may choose to bind the spirits for knowledge (corrupting) or release them peacefully (cleansing).

ACT III – “The Divide”

Event 5: “The Hollow War”
  • Conflict Begins: Factions race to claim the relic for their own agenda. Jedi may wish to destroy it; Sith may split on controlling vs. weaponizing it.
  • Branch Point:
    • Jedi split: pacifists vs. those willing to use the relic to counter Sith aggression.
    • Sith split: traditionalists vs. those following the whispers of the Orax path.
  • Major Battle: Players fight not only each other but unstable Force storms and Keystone-controlled amalgams of fallen Force users.
Event 6: “Echoes at the Edge”
  • Force-Heavy RP Event
  • Players enter the Vergence Nexus, a pocket realm created by the Keystone’s power.
  • Vision-based challenges and ethical choices.
  • Each faction must confront a memory or failure made manifest.
  • Possible reward: a custom ability, permanent RP change, or purified/darkened relic.

ACT IV – “The Choice of the Hollow”

Final Event: “Balance Unwritten”
  • Players Must Choose:
    • Destroy the Keystone, but lose all knowledge gained.
    • Bury it, trusting future generations.
    • Merge with it, altering their connection to the Force permanently.
    • Create a new path, forming a neutral order—or sealing their fate as outcasts.
  • Outcome Impact: The ending determines how future events unfold. A server-wide aura might remain depending on how much energy was fed into the relic.
If your application is accepted, you will be required to start a multi-event storyline as part of your trial. It is recommended that this be the first draft of that storyline.

Feyn is an excellent Roleplayer, and has been quite active on the server; they often are the one leading Jedi RP(s), even prior to being on the Jedi Council. They have a wealth of knowledge regarding lore on both Jedi & Sith. This is an amazing application, and it should be set as one of the standard(s) that aspiring GM(s) should hold themselves too. Seriously, it's good.

If I could give this more pluses, I would. Alas, I am only a smelly regular Gamemaster.

I’d be genuinely thrilled to see Feyn take on a role in Gamemaster activities. They’ve consistently demonstrated a high level of creativity, which is one of the most valuable traits a Gamemaster can possess. From crafting engaging narratives to thinking on their feet in dynamic situations, creativity is what breathes life into player experiences and I have no doubt that Feyn would excel in this area.

One particularly exciting aspect of Feyn’s potential contribution is their extensive knowledge of the Star Wars universe. That kind of lore expertise isn't just impressive on its own it’s incredibly useful for creating immersive, believable, and richly detailed game worlds that players can really get lost in. When you combine that with their evident enthusiasm for the setting, it’s easy to imagine them building campaigns that players will remember and talk about long after the session ends.

Beyond their knowledge and creativity, Feyn’s past experiences speak volumes. They bring to the table a level of preparedness, thoughtfulness, and demonstrated capability that suggests they wouldn’t just be a promising candidate they’d be ready to hit the ground running. In many ways, they already embody the qualities of a seasoned Gamemaster. With just a bit of opportunity and support, I’m confident they would fully come into their own and contribute meaningfully to the team from day one.

Finally, I want to acknowledge the application itself. It’s very clear that a lot of effort, intention, and care went into putting it together. That kind of dedication is something that should never go unnoticed. It reflects a level of commitment and genuine interest that should be valued in any team environment. For what it’s worth, Feyn has my complete support and personal endorsement. I truly believe they would be a fantastic addition to the Gamemaster team.
