QUESTIONNAIRE
The Gamemaster role requires creativity, knowledge, and most of all, vision.
Answer these questions as best you can to demonstrate these attributes.
Minimum effort will not be tolerated.
What is your level of experience with Garry’s Mod construction and tools?
I’ve got a lot of experience with Garry’s Mod building tools and I’m very comfortable with pretty much every aspect of construction. advanced tool gun usage, precision prop placement, constraints, lighting, and making sure builds are clean and optimized. I pay a lot of attention to detail and always try to make environments feel immersive and believable, especially for serious RP settings like Jedi vs Sith. I’m confident in my creativity and quality of work, and I’d say my builds stand out compared to most I’ve worked with or seen.
I’m also capable of planning and executing full-scale events, including large off-map scenarios like what’s done on Clone Wars RP servers. Whether it’s a temple siege, a hidden Sith base, or a battlefield setup, I can handle both the creative design and the technical side. I’m patient when it comes to event-specific builds and I understand the importance of balancing visuals, performance, and smooth RP flow.
Why do you want to become a Gamemaster?
I want to become a Gamemaster because I genuinely care about the community and want to give back to it in a meaningful way. I’ve been a GM before, so I understand the responsibility that comes with the role, planning events, managing players, keeping things fair, and making sure everyone is having a good experience. Some of my best moments on RP servers have come from well-run events, and I want to be the one creating those experiences for others.
At the same time, I know I can always improve and push myself further. I have the creativity, vision, and solid knowledge of Star Wars lore needed to build immersive Jedi vs Sith scenarios that feel authentic and engaging. With my previous GM experience and building skills, I’m confident I can deliver high quality events while continuing to grow and raise the standard even more.
Why should the community support your application, and what makes you more qualified than other players?
The community should support my application because I’ve already proven myself as a capable GM in the past. The feedback I received on my events was overwhelmingly positive, mainly because I focused on immersion, detail, and storytelling rather than just running events to fill a quota. I’ve always believed that quality matters more than quantity. I paid attention to small details that make a scenario feel alive, and I made myself available for passive RP as well, not just large scale battles, but meaningful character focused moments between players.
I’ve also learned from my past mistakes and grown from them. I understand the responsibility that comes with the position, and I’m ready to fully commit to it if given another opportunity. I truly believe I can bring epic, immersive experiences to the server while maintaining consistency, fairness, and professionalism. If the community gives me a second chance, I’m confident I can meet, and exceed expectations.
Have you ever assisted in an event on Reborn in the past?
Yes, I have participated in many events on Reborn, going from smaller OOC scenarios to large scale raids. Through those experiences, I’ve seen how different types of events are structured and how they affect player engagement. I wasn’t just a participant either, as you may know I’ve helped assist and coordinate in some of them, which gave me a better understanding of the planning, pacing, and teamwork required behind the scenes.
Because of that, I know how these events function from both the player and staff perspective. I’m confident I could build and organize one from scratch at any time. I also understand the long-term impact events can have on server lore, character development, and faction dynamics, and I take that responsibility seriously when contributing to or designing an event.
How well could you adapt to unplanned circumstances in something you have planned?
I adapt very well to unplanned circumstances, especially during live events where things rarely go exactly as written. From my previous experience as a GM, I’ve had situations where players made unexpected decisions, ignored obvious hooks, or completely changed the direction of the scenario. Instead of forcing the original plan, I adjusted the flow in real time. Redirecting objectives, improvising dialogue, or modifying encounters to keep the experience smooth and immersive.
Because I build and control the environment myself, I’m comfortable making quick technical adjustments as well, whether that means altering a layout, spawning new elements, or scaling difficulty on the fly to maintain balance. My priority is always the player’s experience and the integrity of the lore, so I stay calm, think ahead, and adapt without breaking immersion. Flexibility is key to good event management, and I’m confident in my ability to handle pressure while keeping things engaging and controlled.
What interests you most in the Star Wars universe?
What interests me most in the Star Wars universe are the tragedies, major events categorized as turning points, and the emotional depth behind the characters. The fall of heroes, the internal conflicts between light and dark, forbidden attachments, betrayal, redemption. Those moments are what truly define Star Wars for me. It’s not just about lightsaber duels or power, it’s about the choices characters make and the consequences that shape their arcs.
I’m especially drawn to unique characters with complex development and meaningful growth. The love stories, the downfalls, the redemption paths. Those are the foundations of unforgettable storytelling. That’s the kind of energy I want to build around in events.
Now, taking what most interests you, craft a high-quality multi-part storyline (with characters, branches, anything that you see fit) that you could create multiple events from. If your application is accepted, you will be required to start a multi-event storyline as part of your trial. It is recommended that this be the first draft of that storyline:
Echoes of a Broken Vow:
Love, obsession, guilt, and the corruption of grief.
The story explores how attachment, something both beautiful and dangerous in Star Wars can create either heroes or monsters.
Nanga Parbat was once an ordinary citizen living in a forgotten industrial city on the Outer Rim, a place long abandoned after economic collapse and war. In his youth, he fell deeply in love with a woman named Anna Purna. He wrote her countless letters, poems, and promises of escape from their decaying world. However, Anna never returned his feelings. She saw him only as a friend, someone kind, but emotionally overwhelming.
As Nanga’s obsession grew, so did his instability. When Anna chose to leave the planet with another man, Nanga confronted her inside the abandoned estate where they used to meet. The confrontation turned violent. In a moment of blind rage and heartbreak, he killed her.
It was in that instant. Consumed by hatred, grief, and guilt, that the Force awakened violently within him.
Unlike Sith trained in doctrine or Jedi raised in discipline, Nanga’s power manifested raw and unfiltered. The tragedy didn’t just break him, it reshaped him.
He came to a singular conclusion:
Love is a weakness. Love creates pain. Therefore, love must be erased.
An abandoned city or estate map decaying architecture, dim lighting, scattered belongings, preserved love letters hidden in drawers and rooms.
Jedi and sith receive reports of disappearances and violent disturbances tied to an old district once thought abandoned.
Players explore:
- Love letters written by Nanga (gradually becoming darker)
- Signs of Force surges frozen into walls and debris
-Echoes or visions replaying the night of Anna’s death
This phase builds emotional investment and mystery.
It reveals the existence of Nanga Parbat, now calling himself The Hollow Sovereign, leader of a new faction known as The Veil of Silence.
Nanga has gathered followers such as broken romantics, betrayed lovers, former Jedi who failed attachment trials and sith acolytes cast aside
His guild operates with one doctrine:
“Emotion enslaves. Attachment destroys. We will liberate the galaxy from love.”
They begin targeting married officials, force-sensitive couples, jedi Padawans with forbidden attachments and Sith bound by possessive obsession
A Jedi NPC secretly in love is captured. Then players must choose between following strict doctrine or protecting emotional bonds.
This creates internal RP conflict within both Jedi and Sith factions.
Nanga discovers an ancient Force ritual, a vergence fueled by emotional trauma.
He learns he can drain emotional energy with the ultimate cost of his humanity and emotions.
His ideology evolves from destroying love to destroying emotion
and finally destroying life itself. because life creates attachment.
“If no heart beats, none can break.”
Nanga realizes that to eradicate life on a planetary scale, he requires an immense surge of Force energy that he will have to steal from powerful organizations such as jedi and sith.
His final plan:
Strike both Jedi and Sith simultaneously draining the power from each victim. To bait both organizations, he will attack another region first. Bringing players to defend it.
After a long fight and problem resolution, two endings are possible depending on which faction has a bigger impact.
1. Redemption Ending
A player uncovers Anna’s final letter revealing she never hated Nanga, only feared his obsession. Confronted with truth, Nanga hesitates. A powerful RP moment allows for redemption or mercy killing.
2. Execution Ending
Jedi and Sith temporarily unite to destroy him. Nanga dies believing love is poison but his ideology survives through followers.
