I have delayed my response on this application to get an opinion from others and see how they think you have changed over the past few weeks. I know you have had a toxic path. As much as I personally have seen a slight improvement in your acts your past still follows you.
In a way even if you have changed which you have, one I don't believe you have made enough of an effort to change and two I believe that it is too soon. Even if you stopped being toxic that idea still surrounds your name.
