CC Names (Faction colors)

I know many players on the server associate the factions to a color, Dark red is sith and Dark Blue is Jedi, many of the CCs in the server have these colors while not associated with a faction. I believe this not only confuses new players but also causes confusion in the chat, it's problem mostly shines within raids. Many people in raids/neutral planet combat will often attack each other due to name colors, this problem with VERY common within both factions, althought none of these problems are big it would be helpful for both sides if the colors were made faction exclusive.

+1 In combat, I don't have time to focus on the names (way to laggy to even read them) but colors really help. If there is a sith with a blue name just like the jedi or vice versa. I think the color of names should be a choice, but the Blue and Red and Gold should remain to the respected faction.

This is especially terrible when people don't have a rank in there name like this

SLR BB INQT Jimbob joe - Like, newer level 15 players won't be able to tell what faction that is if it is the color blue even though he would be a sith.

As much as I love having my name as a different color, it does confuse the crap out of new players. For instance I am pretty sure Luna had a red name tag and some Padawan's thought he was a Sith even though he was a Gray and were very confused due to red being a Sith color. If its for the better of the server, I am down for it. The only issue I see with it, is if you convert you would have the old previous color and Atlas would have to change the color every time and he would probably get very annoyed.

While walking around the Jedi temple, Player B walks by and notices Player A's red name, Player B obviously thinks "Sith" so he goes in for an attack. After attacking Player A once or twice, Player A tells Player B that he/she is indeed a Jedi, the confusion in that situation has ceased. As Player A continues to play as that class this may happen a few more times, but over time it will happen less and less frequently to the point that it's just commonplace. It literally takes 5-10 seconds to decipher that the person you are attacking is actually a Jedi/Sith. It's not rocket science.

I have had people attack me for 10 minutes straight while telling them I'm jedi due to the name color, you're playing on a gmod server, half the people here are like 11-14

I mean you aren't wrong about the age thing, but come on chief. Even the kiddos are capable of looking and reading. As long as the person(s) have Sith or Jedi somewhere along their name, this shouldn't be that much of a problem, but if you are making a thread about it, there has to be something there. I dunno chief, I'll keep my -1, but its a hesitant -1.

Lets think about this logically though. People converting isn't something super rare on the server. If someone who has been a long time jedi main and got a cc with blue lettering converts to sith for whatever reason, that would involve them going onto the forums and making a post to rework their CC to change their color. This would cause a lot of unnecessary spam in the CC donation tab just to change the color of the name and if they have already gotten their free rework they would need to pay $5 just to change factions.

Fixed a few things for you, I agree with everyone here, I'm sure it is really annoying to be attacked and sometimes killed by your own faction members because of someone being too lazy to read your name or being too new to know to read your name. I also agree with how it is annoying that players would have to get a rework every time. The only possible solution I can think of is something that would probably cost extra money and be a hassle for Shepard to get. Perhaps making or getting a addon/pluggin/mod/whatever that allows players to edit the color of their name in game? Of course only Staff would have access to this command and perhaps only higher staff so it doesn't get abused. I'm not entirely sure if this would be possible as I'm not too familiar with the files it would mess with and whether or not those files would require a server restart for them to properly apply a name color change, but that's all I can think of.
