Can We Stop Changing Rules Mid Overthrow

To respond to this TS thing, I moved you out and then you joined again, by staying in that channel when you were told to leave and even moved out you started some unneeded toxicity. (I can post ts logs if people doubt me) By staying in a locked channel that you were kicked out of, you of course received a few unwanted comments, imo you forfeited your ability to complain about what happen in there, which is apparently wrong as you left, told Shepard you were "called a hoe" in the channel and had him join. Shepard then harassed everyone in that channel to try and find out who called you "a hoe" in which no one responded except for an annoyed/pissed off Tupac, who said what many wanted to say. Now, we can break this down to a few problems 1. Caitlyn joining, if she didn't join it would never happen, her power comes from one of shepard's made tags, so this argument just became immediately invalid
2. Her not leaving, honestly if she left none of this would happen, moved you out in hopes of putting out the fire but you moved back
3. Ignoring the custom channel, people paid for them and apparently that doesn't matter as all the rules were thrown out the moment it could've been used to clear the situation

That and, you know, if you had actual proof checked your rules beforehand then your thread here would actually have some ground to stand on. This is just a thread filled with the salt of people who were PK'd and the ones who failed the OT. Better luck next time.

You know we did right? Just so many people don’t want Caitlyn in power some were not in our TS and were not aware of the rules after I went over them. We out numbered you by like 2:1 until like half weren’t allowed to help.

Look, after taking Spanish I have been programmed to yell "Game Time" after people ask what time is it, therefore we have to get through this post by finishing what we started. I feel like this is a huge underlying problem in our rules system as there are times rules are created or changed and it was because someone asked for clarification about something and Shepard likes that idea so he implements it immediately as opposed to waiting until the staff meeting to suggest it so that it could be fine tuned and word can be spread around about the rule. This usually happens and then both parties don't really mention the rule to many people, not because they don't want to, but simply because they forget to. I feel as though any changes to the rules should also be posted in the announcements on discord (Shepard has been doing well on that recently, so keep up the good work) so that new rules don't fly under the radar and carpet bomb us all. A prime example of this is with ZoZo's overthrow, NEARLY all staff members believed that faction leaders were able to force heal after someone calls Overthrow while the faction leader is off planet to prevent outside sources from bringing him down low so that someone else could call Overthrow. This was because at a Staff Meeting everyone agreed to that and I believe it was put into the rules (It's possible Shepard didn't include it in the rules as at the time since it seemed like a small detail that didn't need to be specified, but who knows). Regardless, even though the Staff team unanimously agreed to the rule being added, somewhere along the line the rule was changed and none of the player base knew except for the people responsible for the change. This could have easily been fixed if it was announced in the announcements as the rule it was changed to was complete BS and stopped Faction Leaders from ever enjoying themselves and never being able to fight as anyone could just call OT when you're anywhere and you have to go back with that amount of health. To apply this to what happened at the Overthrow, I believe that the only extent we talked about the whole assist thing at the staff meeting was whether or not it should be a rule and whether or not defenders should have to advert it as well. There was nothing about being exiled or anything when calling assist, so it is annoying that the rule was altered so that after the Overthrow the assisters who haven't died yet are autoexiled. I will agree that is how it should be, but we had no rules stating that so we shouldn't really hold people accountable for that.
With all that being said, I believe all rule changes should only occur during a staff meeting so that many opinions and perspectives will be seen and the rule will be made with all of these perspectives and opinions in mind. I also believe that every time a rule is changed it should be announced in discord (although it may be annoying to do it should still happen so nobody is ignorant of the rule change). We'll start top to bottom, you've received something better than artifacts, rules, Anzati was unfaction banned in order to give you empress. The moment you obtained empress out of no where all these rules are added to demote people when they aren't even on their lives, can force heal on neutral planets, et fucking c. Shit is worse than Moxxi was founder, I dare say Shepard is worse than Moxxi at this point, wouldn't surprise me if he banned me for this shit.
To continue/edit: the fact that having things spawned in for you is believable, which is the sad part, a few gms were forced to do xp events while you were online, so you were given levels.

I thoroughly agree with Mr. Dick. This has been a problem that has plagued us for quite some time. And that is, immediate decision making, especially around rules, and not spreading the word. The rule we added in about adverting was discussed very little during the staff meeting, and nothing else was added except the base rule of having to advert Assist while assisting in an overthrow. During the overthrow, we saw how little the rule had been discussed, because there were countless other problems that, instead of letting happen until we could discuss it in the staff meeting, they were immediately patched. This caused issues between all the players involved. Which again highlights the importance of what we are doing here as staff.
I'm going to use my Moxxi line. Our Goal as Staff on the server is to make sure that the player base is happy, and that the server is healthy. When rules are made, they are to benefit the server, not ourselves. If higher staff help put faction leaders into their place, it should be from a completely unbiased staff point of view, not on how we personally feel or how personally close we are to the person. This goes for Higher staff more than it does for staff in general. The closer we get to situations, and I mean personally attached to them, the harder it is for us to not only make an unbiased decision, but also for the community to see us as someone to trust. An example I will use is Shepard and Caitlyn. It does not matter if you are actually creating rules to benefit her, or if you are personally giving her something. People will always, and I mean always, connect the dots. They will always see it is that, especially since the timing of everything was rather peculiar. There comes a point where a separation needs to be made, not only to protect the community, but also to protect your personal relationship. Gmod is toxic, extremely toxic. And when relationships are made and aren't handled like Faerie and Charger did it, it tends to get stressed very quickly.
I will admit something, that some of you know. The server isn't fun for me. Reborn-Gaming hasn't been really fun for me for quite some time. And honestly that's okay. It's not supposed to be fun for me. I take joy in the people I talk to in the teamspeak, but not the server itself. Why? Because I helped make ideas and rules that I personally don't have fun with or like. But it helps the server, and keeps it healthy. Do I have a bias on somethings? Absolutely. Do I try to put them aside when making decisions? Yes. Dwayne is an example. He is one of my good friends, and I've sadly had to say time and time again that he has done things in the past he should have been removed for. I know Caitlyn might think I have a bias towards her, and thats untrue. Everytime a dispute has come up, I've only tried to keep Shepards public image healthy by trying to dissuade him from getting too close to the situation. To not involve himself. To let other staff handle it. To separate personal life from his source of income. Sadly time and time again, I've been ignored. But in the end, it's his community. He has the final say.
On the teamspeak issue last night. It was a horrible idea to join the channel of the group of people that just tried to overthrow you. That was an absolutely horrible idea. Especially when you were asked to leave, and you came back. I know your tag lets you join any channel, but just please make sure to use it to join channels you aren't banned out of. Now I tried to calm everyone down last night in that teamspeak. Even when the insults started to fly the first time. Which is what Shepard should have done when he joined. But he was heated like everyone else, and Tupac got banned for it. Both sides were heated and should have taken a second to calm down, before anything was said.

I don't have anything else to say. The people that got PK'd for leaving probably should get their levels back and their lives back, but remain in exile.

I didn't touch 3, you say you do nothing but your goto throughout all 3 lines is "not my fault, you guys suck" which in itself is fucking annoying, if your goal is to not be a problem as you claim your not, just state it, you keep adding extra comments that annoy everyone. No one likes you because you do get special treatment, Shepard almost had us run 2 artifact raids in 1 day because you weren't able to participate, he DID have us run 2 artifact raids out of order so you could participate, YOU were able to run a dread fortress that would have PERMANENT benefits for the winner should they take it, YOU can get whitelisted at will to run an event, YOU were given helper by Shepard before anyone else, YOU have custom channel without paying for it, YOU have a spot under owner/founders even though when Moxxi moved Faeries channel there he was yelled at, there's more but I've gone long enough. So lets get this straight, YOU are a problem here with all your special treatment.
