Bunny Hop Rule????

So yea I am good at bunny hopping and it's kinda my fault that this rule is in place but it is really stupid and should be removed imo. It is a skill that you need to learn and practice and people who complain about just need to learn how to utilize it. +1 keep -1 get rid of it. Even if the vote is super in favor it might not get removed just so u guys know.

+ I know it is a skill but some times it is annoying if you are chasing someone and they just do 5 b-hops and then there is no way you can get then

+1 keep it, I believe the original train of thought was that bhopping isn't really a thing, I mean, I can't think of any Star wars related thing that involves bhoppin, it was then pushed further by people using bhop scripts on the server. You can argue that bhopping is a skill, and I agree to an extent, but it should stay banned, unbanning bhopping would only cause problems. Removal of bhopping also encourages more force users to finish off people running away, encourages troopers, etc. Overall the removal of bhopping only benefits, the only people who are hurt by the bhopping ban are people that relied on it too much, which is pretty dumb to begin with.

+1 Keep it, new players who don't know how to bhop and aren't faster will be crushed by the new ones who they can't escape from, so they would essentially be quarantined to their home planet until they were a high enough level to leave, but they won't stay that long if they get bored. New players are how this server keeps running, and things like bhopping help put that at stake

-1 from sum 1 who isn't necessarily the best at doin it, I don't think that bunny hoping is an issue. If u argue that they can get away from u faster because you can't seem to do more than 3 b hops, then you should get better at it. And if u don't know how to do it, then learn how to. It isn't really hard to learn it, unless if you are lagging very hard in which i should suggest getting a better computer.

The Bhop rule wasn’t a thing until a few months ago and the server was doing perfectly fine without it and new players are generally gonna die sooner because they don’t know how to leap correctly and are lacking in hp

I believe the rule should be kept because there's no way to prove if someone is scripting or if they are good at b-hopping and it will just cause more arguments in the future where no one can prove the other person wrong. I like how the rule is now because it allows people who know how to b-hop get a slight advantage by allowing them a single jump whereas if the rule was removed people could claim to be "really good at b-hopping" on Zakuul and avoid being overthrown or PK'd because they can run in a circle for a full hour because nobody can catch up to them. Yes, I am referring to you Pallox and I believe if this was rule was reverted it would make every fight last 10 hours longer and have half the fights end with someone being too bored to chase after someone anymore because the chase is lasting way too long.

I mean, it wasn't a relevant issue before, even when i started to play on this server. Yeah, it can get super annoying when u have to chase someone and they r like 10 miles away and i dont blame them, ya gotta do what ya gotta do in order to survive. :l

Edit: plus, its a great way to travel to places faster

-2 would give an unfair advantage to new players. I can just see pallox b-hopping around tat, find a level 20 padawan one shot heavies him then runs away saying learn how to b-hop kid.

-1 people just constantly force leap away after getting hit once anyway, all its gonna do is add a bit of skill to fighting, are we slowly cutting down on things that make skill a factor or is the server turning into "if you can find the best item on the floor" or "purchase the best thing on the forum" sort thing since i've been gone?

Yeah can at least get it added to the rule page though, as vik pulled me aside on kashyyk as I bhopped like 10 times not evening knowing I was breaking the rules.
