Change the clime swep to grappling hooks

I am a IT member and i know how to use the Swep but it lags sometimes and it is shit to use. the grappling hook is easier to use and better for evnets and rp. pls change
 
Grapple hooks when i used to play when IT Had them were just used to minge to *FISH* People as they called it so i doubt they will add them again
 
Im gonna be honest here but when grapple hooks were still a thing I was a massive minge. I know many other people were too so I doubt they will be added back in but Id like to see.
 
i can see them being added back only if misusing them came at a strong and severe punishment, Also with being a trooper taking up a life now it might be not as bad as it was.

-9000 grapple is literally so fucking cancer, we had it before.
1. Wayyyy to many glitches with it
2. Troopers constantly grapple sith, or afks and bring them to random places with no ways to track which troopers did it because logs gayasf
3. in general its aids, yall got climb swep which is better than grappling hooks but takes more skill.
 
I just read your point Dredd, you're saying climb swep is mingy because many reasons but grapple has a lot more.
Grapple= Grappling randoms (No proof of grappling who)
Climb swep= Rules against bhopping/surfing, punching people is also considered minging, only allowed to bhop 1 time with it.
 
As the RT commander I am very pro climbswep it gives us not only something to do when its slow its one of the many ways to set troopers appart. Climbswep is also one of the few plus sides of pistoleer a under used class.
 
Alright i see your two boyo's point alright i agree keep the climb swep (pistoller is bad need a buff of some kind :3)
 
Grappling hooks cause all sorts of issues, but at the same time, it could add in some rp if enforced super super heavily, with troopers being able to shoot the hooks off of places like the tower or temples.

Problem is, they wouldn't be enforced very much at all and would probably be minged with constantly.
 
Enforcing it 90% of the time would not be a problem. The problem was people were getting stuck in the conection screen on the realistic grapple addon. I like it personally, but there are both upsides and downsides to it. The main being you can switch off grapple and still be attatched, meaning unhittable troopers. Also the current skill trees are balanced to where if a grapple hook were added it could ruin the viability of a skill tree. (Referring to pistoleer.) In the end it would be best to stick with climb swep as it adds more of a skill based concept of mobility.
 
Hesitant on this but I would tend to want it back or have it implemented in a trial period. I was around when it was on before and it didn't seem too awful
