As many have heard, there has been a change in raiding rules in order to efficiently decide a winner of a raid. I understand the reasoning for these changes, however I feel as though this has ruined the flow of raiding and what they were, raiding was a place people were able to get kills and level up, however with these changes raiding has become something else. I believe that these new rules should be reverted, Force healing during raids is a VIP perk which i'm sure many people bought VIP to use (I heard that if you paid for something it wouldn't be removed), and I also feel like more people enjoy the old raiding system more.

+ and - as you feel, but please explain your reasoning for such opinions.

I agree to an extent, I think both should be allowed, but with each being a separate type of raid that can be called by Council+

Due to request, I'll post the rules in question.

"All raids will now be 1 life and both factions will also have a lives, staff will block the defender spawns at the start and move the enemy warp in the sky so they can not warp back in.

FORCE HEALING (vip heal) is no longer allowed during faction raids or missions to enemy faction planets.

ONCE A RAID IS CALLED OFF IT WILL START A 3 MINUTE TIMER UNTIL THE DEFENDERS SPAWN BLOCK WILL BE REMOVED."

The ratio thing isn't directly in question but people who vote can express their opinions on it. (ALL RAIDS need to be approved by the highest online/active staff member at the time. Raids can only be called if the faction population balance is >= 1.5 ratio. IE - if jedi have 20 people and sith have 35 they cant raid, but if sith only have 30 they can because its only 50% more. Alliances count as part of the ratio.)

I think we should allow Vip heal, and that we should make holocron raids 1 life only for both sides, and make normal raids 2 lives for defenders and 1 for attackers since it should be harder for attackers because it is a home planet but the only problem would be regulating making sure people dont use more than 2 lives

The holocron raid idea doesn't sound bad, I don't think anyone would have a problem with applying these new rules ONLY to holocron raids and bringing back old raiding style to standard raids.

To add on to my own opinion: I feel like this new raiding style is a bit unfair to newer players and troopers, obviously these players are targetted more than the higher level masters. I think I heard that if someone dies around the start of a raid they'd have to wait around 20 minutes in spawn, and that sounds like quite a boring situation, i'd honestly just disconnect, shit sounds boring.
There are less kills and healing with this new raiding system, which also means less XP and higher level players, as a result this would cause a less exciting/entertaining play session due to less higher/max levels to duel around the server.
As for VIP Force heals, I know many people bought GVIP for force healing, force healing allowed players to return to combat and duel others much faster. Currently the "Medkit" (Trooper Force heal) was their only method was healing and has been cut off, which I know is quite annoying.

Yeah I totally agree with that seems like the best way to do it while including players

The main problem I had personally with previous raids is that the defenders would always eventually "win" the raid. For example, sith go to raid Jedi, and let's just say they are demolishing Jedi, after about 5-10mins of this all of the Sith are relatively low on HP, while the Jedi who had died are respawned with full HP, this cycle continues until every sith is either dead or had left. The sith "Won" but the Jedi technically won too, fending off the Sith.

With this new raiding rule, both factions have one life and it allows for a clearly defined winner, which gives the winning faction a sense of accomplishment instead of it being just an inevitable defeat, so I can side with that 1 life rule, pretty a-ok.

As for VIP healing, this was also an issue, it entices runners, which by extent are a dueler's worst annoyance. Clearly, this was put into effect so that raids don't last 20-30mins (even with a 15min time cap beforehand) with people just force leaping away and then VIP healing, especially for high-level players that can tank a ton of damage.

The ratio thing is the only part I have a problem with this change, I know it was a topic of controversy beforehand but now it's very minute and annoying to keep track of, like it takes 5-10mins of preparation just to make sure everything is ok before the raid and at that point the opposing faction is already subconsciously preparing themselves for the raid. If it was something that could take a minute, (i.e 60/40 ratio) that could be looked through the tab menu within a solid minute or two without giving the opposing faction any indicator, then that would be perfect and would make this entire change a slam.

Overall I give the change a fair +1, with room for improvement.

Here are my arguments to this, for the point of "defenders eventually winning", half the battle is knowing when to pull out, some people leave with their goals accomplished, others don't, it's normal. As for a "decisive winner", you're attacking the Jedi Temple, that should be loaded to the top with jedi ready to defend, which is why i hate this 1 life rule to begin with. As a previous person said, maybe this would be good for holocron raids, but it's a stupid change to normal raids.
As for people running away, there's a limit of 1 force heal that was never enforced to my understanding, once a raid is called off all hostiles on planet MUST attempt to leave the planet until successful, to my knowledge, staff also didn't enforce this. Raids were also called off late most of the time, all these issues are simple to fix. Imo, people running isn't a problem, it encourages the use of force powers, which I see less of everytime I'm on.

i like the idea of the new raiding system but raids never happened before, and now its even lesser. Until 4.0 comes out I dont think we should have this new raiding system....

Would anyone be against reverting the raid rules (1 Life, block off spawns), but keeping the no force heals during raids? I personally would like all of them removed, but my main concern was that rule, so i'll take it.

check discord dummie, shepard reverted the 1 life rule, so infinite lives for defenders just need to wait 30 seconds and attackers can have up to 2

Discord sucks, last night when I talked to him he said he would talk about it in the staff meeting, not immediately change it
