you know... you Could have just said "Hey your not allowed to do that" instead of saying "Ur fucked". Then you could care less to even explain to him what you meant when he asked you about it. Then you said "Nvm don't worry about it" and still let him do it. I think you are in the wrong as well. -1

Your right. You're not forced to tell him but still, it's a kind thing to do. I don't if this is the first or second time you told him but in the video, it kinda shows you being a dick about it and not telling the rule about using burnout.

My -1 stands

Here's how I see it: Sure, Packrat went about it the wrong way and didn't inform the poor lad it is a rule, but the guy still did exploit and kill NPCs with burnout.

Staff sometimes are not sure on rules sometimes. The way to inform the community is actually doing so. There is a difference with informing the community and informing on the community. It is all our jobs as citizens to educate the ignorant.

Big problem on Reborn is the lack of communication and how the higher ranks in factions operate in the gray. I teach the lower lvl players as much as i can and surprised they dont know to e+lmb to change sub forms.

if you want a community you have to communicate better. Informing on what is wrong has about a 10th kf the effect as advising what is right.

it is the difference between spending time with someone or investing time with them. one has no profit for purpose or progress.

next time just send him the link to the rules and @ if staff or even a GM is on.

Remove burnout all together for it is a silly power. or switch the damage to something that does not one shot zombies....(lightning dmg?)...my innocent zombies ....

Also, i have heard from a Super Admin that I look up to and really gets "it" said "it is about having fun and we do not hard enforce new rules unless it is a game breaker."

the player in this is breaking two rules. exploiting and xp farming, but that is not the worse thing in the video.

-3 new rule as of saturday/ ignorance is no excuse but this is not how we cultivate a society.

after watching this with 720p quality and seeing this guy is a lvl 149 lord. this is more on the sith empire/Reborn failing to educate their citizens. 5 days ago this was allowed and not against the rules.....you could not sit out there forever but you could use burnout.

alot of people play on potato computers and alt tabbing can boot them from the game. our rules are not mobile friendly and cannot be copied....

Was there proof of you educating him...was it in chat or voice?. Cause we got logs and if he was PRoperLY informed this would be a punishable offense.

[x] Using burnout to kill npcs is considered exploiting is no longer a rule. :3 but it's still up to staff so if you big bois wanna punish then go ahead

So the thing about that announcement was that we don't want to post what every exploit is on rules pages so people don't use the excuse that "it wasn't in the rules" to abuse an exploit without punishment. Using burnout on NPCs is still an exploit. Using flamethrowers on NPCs is still an exploit. Healing NPCs is still an exploit. I'm heated because people exploit and try to get away with it.

-1 its a new rule, and he probably didn't know. You could've been mature and just said "hey, thats not allowed, its considered exploiting" instead of "uR fUCkEd"

The DC really need to tell there sith that burnout is an exploit I have run into a few apprentices that said someone told them to use burn out to level up faster

how did you copy that from the rules?

we really should have chapters and sub sections of the rules...

This is a new rule so this would honestly be a verbal... You should of explained to him what he was doing wrong instead of report him.. I’ll have to -3.

If I see this player online I’ll teleport to him and explain what he did wrong and to read the rules/give him a link to the rulebook.
