Issue With Staff

There have been many issues with staff lately which needs to be fixed. Staff aren't doing their jobs, they are abusing their powers, and doing jobs on which they shouldn't be doing. This has been going on for a while, however lately it has just become absurd.

Example 1: Today I was hosting a PVP event, I had rules placed on the walls and was calling for PTS. Super Admin Dwyane thought it would be funny to minge, not follow PTS or the rules, so I shot him with the x-8 sniper. He got low to about 200 HP, and OIL killed him. I was fine with this as Dwyane was being annoying not following PTS. Dwyane right after decided it was a good idea to warn OIL for RDM which was BS. Oil helped me in my attempt to remove dwyane from my event for trying to ruin it. After Dwyane had died and warned oil, he teleports back, grabs his phys gun and grabs me, throwing me outside of my dupe multiple times saying he would take over my event. I find this unacceptable to be honest. He was abusing his power, not following my rules, and felt he could punish someone else within my event, when he wouldn't follow the rules himself. I have many witnesses to this, the people at the event, and two T-GM, Timmy and Socaru.


Example 2: Scary decided he could hold an auction by himself, according timmy, because he was a "high rank" and there wasn't any auctions being hosted lately. Im not saying all of this is true as I haven't heard each side of the story however, Scary is a senior admin. An admin is a staff sit that is meant to oversee and enforce the rules of the server not do events. Im not trying to personally attack scary, however many staff do not do sits, people spam admin chat all the time for help and help doesnt come. I feel bad because as a gamemaster I am unable to take sits. Since that is the case, why can a senior admin or any mod+ rank be able to hold an event, without GM permission, when us GM's have been doing our jobs, holding events for the server, but us GM's cant take sits when these staff ranks do not do it. Scary is good at taking sits, but other admins are not which is the point Im coming at here. Scary is fine to me, he did host an auction which I was not fond of however he isnt as bad as other staff members. As you can see, we host events daily, and we also have had many auctions this months, I believe way to many especially with the fact of items missing.


To conclude, Staff aren't doing their jobs, and trying to do other people's jobs. They like to abuse their power within events, break rules and punish others who break rules as well, being complete hypocrites.

This needs to be fixed.

Gamesmasters - Hold Events where they spawn in rewards for members of the community

Mod+ - They are in charge of making sure rules are followed, and players who need admin help get that help.

I don't see Mod+ doing their jobs, and I wish I could help people who need it since staff don't. I hope this awakens the server and they can know what truly goes on.

I see it personally as a problem, But from what I've Seen the Staff usually are doing there jobs

Ok so let me put in my little take on this. I’ve had an opinion like this ever since I was a Mod and that was a while ago. I was trying very hard at my job especially during downtime because that is when the least amount of staff were on and that is when the most help was needed. I raced Vick to every sit I could take and it would be a very close race every time (about 3-5 seconds after every @ call). The main time that I have seen the other staff really do their job was when the SA’s were online. That is the time I usually couldn’t be on because of work and school. I watched multiple people get promoted that I didn’t feel deserved it at the time because I knew what they did when no higher up staff were online. This really discouraged me as a staff member but I never wanted to bring it up because I thought it would come off as needy or ignorant so I just let it go by. After 3 months of me going no where with my staffing, I took a month break from the server to play other games and stopped my staffing. I stayed active on the forums and saw that there were a lot of inactive staff but since I felt like I didn’t have a say I just left it be. I came back and during downtime when I needed staff for a simple whitelist wouldn’t come to me unless I went to them I knew it was a problem. A lot of times those staff members not responding to calls were either dueling random people or they were just talking to friends. I chose to apply for GM because I wanted to make events and help the server become more fun since it was kinda dying. I saw multiple easy staff sits go by without answers even during UT and I would be yelled at for going to a sit that has been left open for over 10 minutes. During my time as GM I decided to do some investigating and seeing what was happening with the staff. I would put my name as AFK Okeas. Then I would cloak and follow around the mods as they took sits. I knew I had no right to do this but I had to figure out what was happening. I learned that a lot of staff didn’t know the rules or the proper punishments for the rules that they broke. I thought this was just a special occasion but when I created a new steam account and shared Garry’s Mod with myself, I went around as a new player and see how the staff were to new boys. Long story short, it took me 15 mins for a staff member to come by and whitelist me to apprentice. There are many problems with the staff as of now and a lot of it may come from the upper management not wanting to do anything or the lower staff taking their role as a joke icefuse rank.

Yes, I will sit and see staff not taking sits and whitelist, i forgot to mention though cruen is actually good with staff sits too but other than that not many are

All I'm saying is Admin+ can host events, Dwayne was wrong, and most of the time the only sits that go unanswered are ones when people ask for their items back even though we just asked them to wait for them to come back or to wait for someone who can actually spawn items to get on, sits that can't be taken because staff members are taking other sits, or sits that cant be taken because someone is in the middle a 1v8 group fight and cant convince everyone to stop fighting because they need to take a sit. (If you manage to convince them you'll most definitely teleport back into the middle of a heavy.) The times I notice staff members slacking I call them out in teamspeak and shout at them to take the first sit I see because they don't need to be lazy, especially as higher staff since people are striving for their position or a similar one. (This means you Vethar, take your sits or I'll end you)

i dont see this happening... usually when theres a whitelist sit i dont see helpers/trials taking ill hop on it

then again SA+ with the exception of prolly shepard and miles (cuz they good boyos) dont have any excuses to break rules and if this happens do not confront them in TS or ingame other than asking them to stop. JUST REPORT IT TO CAUSE.

same for mods... dont pull Admins +, Gms, or S-Gms to a sit, if one is called on them simply ask the caller to make a staff report on forums and if it becomes a bigger problem contact the SA team

I feel they should ask a GM first like a T-GM does. Especially since we get plenty of events on the server, and Shepard doesn't want to many events right now as he wants the server to have more RP than events.

During my time as Emperor, when I removed the Lord 1,2,3 system I wanted to make Lord 1's go back down to apprentice and Lords 2 and 3's stay as Lord. I couldn't do that, because the staff didn't want to do their jobs and whitelist people. So that was a good time.

The scary situation I disagree with because Staff can run auctions whenever, but you should be letting Scary know when sits come up etc. and also just take over whenever Scary needs to do a sit. Scary did the auction because nothing was probably happening on the server, so I see it as an act of entertainment.
