We doThe checkpoint isn't the problem. The IG/DHG don't even defend council room during raids so I don't see why you're complaining.
The last raid I defended you guys, about 5 jedi got into the council room with the normal checkpointWe do
Sure, but what is there really to gain from walking into the DC room then dieing about a minute or two later? I kinda always saw defending the DC room where there aren't any important people in there kinda pointless. I think this bigger checkpoint is a good idea since it will require more teamwork to defend and when the DC see how much worse DHG/IG's activity is they'll have to find a new way to defend their "sacred" room. When I was DC I didn't give a shit if someone got in there during a raid. I knew IG was dead. Also notice it's only sith council/oat man commenting on this. Literally no one else has a problem with it.The sith checkpoint is a long hallway, which coincidentally allows for easier maneuvering if someone does manage to get through, they can go in the DA and run around and try to evade the enemy or run into DC chambers and use their surroundings to their advantage. Nonetheless the main concept of the checkpoint is so that it's h a r d for people to push through and abuse that long hallway.
The Jedi checkpoint, on the other hand, I will give is relatively the same width of the sith checkpoint but nonetheless, it is far different. First, it has stairs that lead up to it, this can make it really simple to spot who is coming to the checkpoint and allows for preparation to be made at a moments notice. While on the Sith's end, we are required to have at least a solid 30-40 seconds to get all of the guards in position to make a successful defense. And 30-40 seconds is a lot in a raid, it takes about 15 for a Jedi to run from the warp pad to the sanctum and through the checkpoint, this causes sith to have to scramble and can cause chaos. Moving on from the preparation aspect, the Jedi checkpoint holds no long hallway, you are either outside of the checkpoint or in Jedi Council Chambers, simple. There is probably a few feet of space in-between the two of them, allowing again, for much easier prep and far smoother organization if the defense is broken. Sith literally has diagrams for how people should be set up at the checkpoint, guess we have to get rid of those now.
Lastly, and this is just kind of a tin foil hat conspiracy but it is really sketchy that the checkpoint is redone at the night before an Overthrow is said to happen. Not claiming anything and I won't throw accusations around. But let's just put into perspective how easy it is now to get through the sith checkpoint,
Step 1: Get a Grenade Launcher trooper and a Defensive Heavy Spammer, Healer optional but recommended
Step 2: Spam Grenade Launcher shots at one of the people guarding the checkpoint while the Defensive Spammer is being distracting
Step 3: Now that an opening is made, run through and spam Grenade Launchers while the Defensive Spammer follows
Step 4: Cause chaos in the huge hallway while reinforcements arrive
Step 5: ???
Step 6: Capture sanctum and brag about how easy it was to breach the sanctum.
Step 7: Profit
I can guarantee that is how raids on Sith will work from now on. It was already pretty simple to breach our sanctum with average defenses but now it's just stupidly easy. We need at least 4-6 guards now just to compensate for our defenses. Return the checkpoint to how it was and actually coordinate yourselves rather than having to cry to staff about how you and your one Jedi friend couldn't breach the sanctum. Or you know, buff the Jedi checkpoint so it is harder for us to breach it. Cause I can agree it's easy for us to break in.

Why are you only using 2 people to defend against an overthrow. I remember during Dwayne’s successful defense against an overthrow he had 4 Praetorian Guardsinside the check point along with all of the DC behind them. How hard would it be to replicate that? And also just get a control of your Sith and stop having them overthrow every other day.I guess my main quarrel with this entire thing is how it will be 10x harder to defend during Overthrow's. Put it into perspective. We have 2 guards at the checkpoint like everyone is saying will apparently work. All they have to do is breach through one of them to get through. And since people usually have these "armies" of people overthrowing if they indeed did, then the sanctum is just lost at that point.
Raids are a bit of less of a concern but it still is a large one nonetheless, considering 70% of Sith will be guarding the checkpoint it requires us to completely rework how we guard our checkpoint. Not to mention whenever Jedi get an inch through our sanctum they always gloat about it. Which isn't annoying the first or second time, but after which it can get on mine and the guards nerves. This might even drive people away from Imperial Guard due to the fact it requires so much more focus and coordination during raids rather than just the standard procedure they are used to. And God knows we need IG to be active.
Tl:dr - You could've at least told us you were changing it smh
Just convert to Jedi and guard that one then.

Also, I believe the new Sanctum requires more props than the old one. Which is what Staff are trying to avoid. Consider we get shit on whenever we try and add a few props around Korriban
