I feel like ever since my time joining ive seen many many people come and go its a part of the job. Ive been staff for almost 2 years. Ill be first to admit that im not always serious ive always preferred to be the fun staff but ive always tried to be fair and even if its not fair i try to level with what i have. give what i can. on a dead serious note I love this community i really do i joke and say shit like " worst staff team" and "Take my tags" but i love being staff i love helping the server if i didnt i wouldve left. I woke up and got on my computer about 4 months ago and realized im the last one from my original group still on the server and i was very sad about that all my people that made me fall in love with reborn were gone off doing their own things. It deeply saddens me weve reached this point where we are having to do this. Dwayne, Croc, Miles, Charger and Shepard are some of my best friends in the server and it feels like running uphill. Shepard is one of the most genuine guys i know ive seen him pull people to seperate channels to make sure theyve been treated fairly. ive seen him buy people games so they can be included when we all go to different games and spaces as dwayne said he gave money to Crack "and old admin and great friend for those who dont know him" when his family fell on hard times and then tried to keep it on the downlow because crack has a lot of pride. Shepard used to say that you can question his decisions but not his honesty. People were telling me that after myth warned Caitlyn that shepard took it upon himself to remove it personally behind the staffs back after straight saying he wouldnt do it He had not and that instant relief of seeing he hadnt broken that promise is something im so thankful for. What this whole thing is saying is that Im a Super Admin and im so very happy that i am i love this staff team this server and this community and the last thing i want is to see is the community burn. That at the absolute very least not grudges not old arguments is something we can all agree on we all love the server and want it to succeed if this is what it takes to get people to understand that. Even if you think what youve done isnt bad which to me personally most of its not that bad. The community feels otherwise and that at the very least is why you owe it to them. Fix this. Talk it out. find a better way to handle this. It has to be stopped before the community splits down the middle. i hope you learn to see it i miss how it was shepard and a lot of other do too. We need a community meeting. Just a sort of intervention where everybody suggests things and we can speak to shepard in a resourceful and beneficial manner apart from just flaming on the forums. Only issue is that one person will say something toxic and it will fall apart

I don’t think you need a vacation but rather face the truth. One person. Let me repeat myself ONE PERSON has split this community 70:30 with most people not liking Caitlyn and people are going to continue leaving. I am going to be gone this weekend and I’m hoping this all fixes itself before it goes too far.

Wow miles this post said it all. Also, I was talking to tupac and he said that the server was too biased and bs. Now I never thought I would see a person like Tupac speak out like this. Everything is getting out of hand and we all know it. Now I don’t know what we can do, but we gotta do something.

Edit: there’s a quote I think it goes like never mix business with pleasure i think. I don’t really have much more to add but for the future I mean it’s not a bad idea lol

Edit 2: I see a lot of people saying that the community is splitting but it’s not that it’s more just the whole community is mad at Shepard and Caitlyn. The community is actually probably more together on something then ever. I mean, the other day on sith during the overthrow there were 25 people that called assist and more that wanted to help. (Now I think that was the most people that wanted to ot ever I’m not sure) The saddest part was, it was a bunch of high levels that were just sad about the current state of the server.

This is pretty much the reason why I was contemplating quitting the server, this and how it seemed that the update to the server seemed horrible and at the time I thought Shepard was going to keep his mindset of force users are mages and that everyone has to use a cookie cutter build. The only reasons I stayed was because I didn't want EE to die and because I enjoyed the server immensely during my time on here and I didn't want it to end like this. I gave it a few days and it got better because Shepard listened to critique, so perhaps that's how this whole thing will turn out. If you're thinking about quitting the server, hold out just a few more days and things may change. I believe Shepard will do what is right. Maybe.

This really says everything that's needed to and in the proper way. Come on we just need reason within the server again. Just rejoice the community end all this drama already.

this was kinda what i wanted to say. I just tend to get agressive sometimes. Reading through caits defense i could see that she was just denying pretty miuch everything which made me a bit pissed. You managed to say what needed to be said, and shepard needs to fix this or reborn will kill itself

I got a few things I want to say regarding this entire thing... I know what you guys want/need and I am going to do it. Things will go back to how they were before and i'll continue to work on getting 4.0 ready for this month but first I want to say a few things.

This is not Caitlyn's fault and I don't want any of you to think it is for a second... This is my fault. For the last nearly 3 years I have been the owner of this community. I have been around for every single thing that has ever happened in the community. I have met THOUSANDS of people since then and have made countless friends, acquaintances and enemies. From someone who has literally come and stayed with me in my own home for a week to people who have told me they wish for nothing more than for me to kill my self and or everything i've worked for to come crashing down, i've even had to get police involved before when people started making threats to swat me and my family. Throughout all this time i have also tried to make it my number 1 goal to be unbiased and fair to people, weather it be having to tell someone I used to consider one of my best friends he is no longer part of the executive team or turning down hundreds and hundreds of dollars when people would try and bribe me for levels, items or what have you. I have always tried to do what I would want the owner of a game I enjoyed to do without thinking of personal gain. Sometimes I would falter and waver but I would seek the advice of friends and peers and they would keep me on the beaten path of fairness. I have also tried to be generous at the same time weather it be bailing a friend out of debt, helping a friend buy a new computer or literally flat out buying someone a new pc, buying people games that their friends have all been playing but they cant join in because they cant afford to. I love seeing people come together from Reborn, I love all the friendships that this community has created.

All that being said it has not been an easy road... Friends have come and gone, the server has seen peaks and lows, i've made mistakes and had great successes. This has been more than a full time job for over the last year for me. Most of you looking in from the outside may not see it but even though I may not be directly working on the server or in a meeting with a developer or any of that, its still something that at any moment something could happen and I have to deal with it. Many many times i would leave for a small break and within the first few hours of me being away im getting phone calls and messages because X terrible thing has happened and I need to take care of it. For the last month "yes its been exactly 1 month today" I have been spending a lot of time with Caitlyn on and off the server, you guys may not know her or know where she came from but she is important to me. Yes she has been getting special treatment from me, obviously I am going to treat my girlfriend different than other people that is just expected, but it goes against the image I have created for my self. It's just when you find someone who is really important to you, you can't help but want to make them feel special. A lot of you have been saying don't mix Reborn with my personal life, the problem is reborn is my personal life. I'm pretty much here all day weather it be on the discord, on the teamspeak, on the website or on the server. All of my friends are on reborn and all my time is on reborn, hopefully you understand why it's not as easy as just "dont mix reborn with your personal life".

I understand what you guys want and that's what I am going to do. This isn't supposed to be a OOOO POOR SHEPARD post or a give me pitty post, I just wanted to try and give a little bit of my perspective on it. It's not well worded and it may not make any fucking sense, i've never been good at putting how i feel in text. Just know I do care and I will fix this.

Immediately I asked around the community, trying to find out who she was. I was shocked when I found out that it was Shepards girlfriend, someone I had never met, never even heard of, but here she was. Before I go any further, this is my experience. I am not looking down on their relationship, or how it happened. Just my personal experience. I finally introduced myself, Shepard and I talked about it a little, and there's not much else on how we met.


Now lets start off by saying that the rumors of her being given a free CC and Artifact are false. She was purchased a CC and was given an artifact from another player. Whiskey I believe. What isn't much talked about is the free custom artifact that was created for her. The hot Pink one. Now this is only cosmetic and will be chopped up to "let him spoil his girl." And that's correct, Shepard has the ability to do that. But the community has the ability to be angry about it. Especially since there are people in the community that have been playing for far much longer than her and do not have a custom artifact. But I guess people are just jealous that the world isn't fair. (That btw is a dumb point. People can be angry about a bias that is happening within the community. That doesn't mean they are jealous, it just means they don't like it when someone who has been part of the community for less than 3 weeks getting a custom artifact.) On top of this artifact which was only cosmetic, some Gamemasters were told to do xp events and artifact specifically so Caitlyn could participate. Spectre quoting that they did artifact raids out of order so Caitlyn could be a part of this. Now this is something that starts to go beyond cosmetics. This is something that goes beyond people being jealous. When a person has gamemasters go out of their way to do events and artifact raids, specifically so your girlfriend can participate, you start to cross a line.

Now lets discuss the demotion of Dwayne. Dwayne had been on the ropes of being demoted for quite some time. But had done nothing wrong weeks prior to his demotion. One day on the server, Dwayne warned Caitlyn with a meme warn. This sparked problems in OOC. After the warn happened, Caitlyn started to call Dwayne Toxic. Abusive. He has it out for her. "most toxic staff member." Meanwhile Dwayne did not try to escalate it, he just ignored it. That whole thing can be found here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/367775685?filter=archives&sort=time That is a vod of Shepards stream when the arguement started to happen. All that was left out was the warn. Which from Dwaynes side was a meme. Caitlyn called Dwayne a dumb head (or something along the lines) and he warned her for it at an attempt to mess around. She didn't take it well. Shepard then had to end his stream and pull Dwayne and Caitlyn into a channel together, which I then see Dwayne leave a couple of times and get pulled back. Shepard was attempting to put Dwayne on a one week suspension. It then derailed into a full on Demotion, which has now been overturned. Now like I said, Dwayne had been on the ropes for being demoted for awhile, but hadn't done anything too terrible in the past couple of weeks. Until this situation. It was undeserving of a one week suspension or full demotion. I know that now. At the time I agreed with Shepard. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

I'm going to discuss the Myth Warn very shortly. Myth is a gamemaster, they are not to punish players while staff are on. In this situation, Myth saw Caitlyn bhopping a ton around tython. According to him, she was doing it well before he was able to record, hence why we have such little recording. Myth was told to get a staff member to take her to a sit, but Myth warned her for it. This sparked a huge issue between me, myth, shepard, and caitlyn. My ruling on it was that the warn was valid, but Myth was in the wrong for giving the warn. He was to be talked to and slapped with probation for it. The warn was to stay (which when I checked a couple of days later, it was still there.) After coming to that conclusion, I was then bombarded with messages by Caitlyn calling me extremely biased. That I was a horrible friend to Shepard. That I was stressing him out. I also then had to fight Shepard tooth and nail to keep the warn. He says that other staff were dealing with it, but I talked to zero of those staff members, only Shepard. I've never seen him fight that hard for a warn to be removed.

Here's where things start to get fucky. Anzati overthrew ZoZo. People were vocal that they didn't like Anzati. Now prior to this, Anzati was faction leaderbanned. UNTIL Shepard talked to Anzati about unfactionleaderbanning him if he handed it down to Caitlyn. Anzati started to get Cold feet, until Shepard started to throw more into the deal. Loody got unfactionleaderbanned, the Dark Brotherhood got remade, Moxxi was to be unfactionleaderbanned after a couple of weeks as well, and he was to be put on council. The flute hilt was going to have the same damage specs as the kingsblade (which shepard says he already does for custom sabers, so I can't speak much on that.) I immediately was not letting that happen. Doing Shady deals that Anzati was told to never tell anyone crosses a line. You start to lose the trust of community members and friends. I'm telling you guys now because you have the right to now. I thought I had canceled the deal, but low and behold, Caitlyn gets Emperor, Moxxi is on council. Anzati is a high rank. So did the deal not happen?

I cannot speak on the accusation of rules being created to help Caitlyn. There is not 100% to connect those 2 things, even the the timing is quite suspicious. But I'm going to skip over it.

Tupacs ban is an interesting one. After the overthrow happened, and the attackers lost, Caitlyn joins the Teamspeak channel that she, not only was banned out of, but was full of angry people that do not like her. She was told to leave, but was also called a hoe. At this point, my goal was to settle things down. Which I started to do. But then she joined back again. She was finally moved out again and Shepard joined. At this point, Shepard was not happy. He started to ask who called her a hoe, and no one would tell him. Tupac said "no one is going to tell you in here" which Shepard then replied with "Hey Fuck Face, how about you shut the fuck up." Tupac then replied with a pretty harsh insult calling Caitlyn the N word, and then was promptly banned. I then continued to try and calm it down, but too much damage had been done. Now I would like to say that I have a recording of the entire overthrow attempt, and the banned that happened afterwards. So if you don't think thats how it went, I'll gladly give you the footage with some commentary from me afterwards.

As you can see through this entire post, events got worse and worse as time went on. An extreme bias and abuse of powers is present. Rivaling that of Moxxi in his prime.

This is a message specifically to Shepard. You don't know how much it hurts me to make a post like this. You're my best friend, and it kills me to see this stuff happening. But do you remember what I said to you when this deal with Anzati was being argued? I said if Caitlyn gets Emperor this community is going to split. You are going to cause a huge problem. And I'm GOING to be on the side of the Community. I also told you to take her far away from this community. Because I knew all this was going to happen. I knew it 100%. I told you time and time again not to do this. The day before Dwayne got demoted, I told you to demote him for a reason that doesn't involve Caitlyn because of the backlash. The next day you demoted him because of an arguement with Caitlyn. I told you not to help her get Emperor, let her take it. Instead you were right there next to her the entire time. I told you to stay away from these situations and act your role as Owner. Instead you planted yourself like a tree right next to her and fought for her consistently. Every bit of advice I have given, has fallen on deaf ears and I'm tired of it. Reborn is your life. It was you wake up and do almost every day. We can't be critical of Moxxi if we aren't willing to follow our own rules. It's hypocrisy at it's finest. And I know after this post is made, nothing will be the same between us. Your friends tell you what you want to hear. Your best friends will call you out. Don't let our friendship be destroyed. Don't let the community be destroyed. And lastly, don't let yourself be destroyed.
