Hi everyone,

The current state of Tatooine is very poor in my opinion. A majority of the time it's just kill or be killed, or people are there to trade at the CC. This thread is to suggest more RP mechanics on Tatooine.

What to add on Tatooine?
I have 2 main ideas, add a little marketplace section to the city on Tatooine for commerce or a permanent bar where there's a bar owner (Possibly player run?). My second idea is to add traveling camps that come and go every now and then, something to spice up Tatooine that could have possible loot with a chance of mid-low tier items like Epics or uncommon nice looking hilts.

If you have any ideas to add please comment, or give feedback on my ideas. I'm very tired of wars and just want some genuine rp. And sure some people don't want to RP a whole lot, which I can understand. But maybe try to focus PvP on the outside of the City?

Edit: New idea, have a Tatooine faction? Have a Tatooine guard that patrols the city and can turn a blind eye to any contraband trades or unfavorable actions in return for some credits. Something like this could be fun to enforce inside the city and guards can't enforce outside of the city.

+1 i agree. There is half of tat that isnt even being used. Adding more RP to Tat would be a great idea, Maybe even adding some sort of npc's in the temple or a pod race track. I love the bar Idea and a bar owner could be fun and cool for a gray, or even someone wanting to take a break from the serious rp. Adding entities and maybe even a shop is a great concept.

@Oat man That's the thing though, it's mainly fighting. There is no talking half the time because an enemy faction will just run up and KOS you.

-3 I like fighting. There is no planet designated for fighting only, so we've made Tat exactly that. If you want to rp, talk, and/or trade theres an entire safe zone just for you. There use to be a casino, but it was removed along with the addons. If we made it so if you do something wrong you get the guards on you, we would just fight them too because fighting is a big part of the server. If you want to claim Kashyyyk could be a fighting zone I could state that Kashyyyk could easily be turned into the rp zone you want so badly since people really only go there for alchemy or farming NPCs and even that is just a few people.
(Also moving the fighting to outside the city or onto Kashyyyk would suck because fighting on uneven ground makes hitting people wonky and the city section has tons of flat ground perfect for fighting)

@Dickolas Dan While those are fair reasons as to why Tatooine shouldn't have those changes, there are still a fair portion of people that would like to RP outside of the CC (Also considering that the CC is the size of a building on Zakuul) and their Faction Planet. Kashyyyk doesn't have the same atmosphere as Tatooine as well as the buildings. And plus wouldn't you love to capture a bounty in a local bar, then go on the run from Tatooine guards as the BH that you applied for?

Bit of clarification, I meant completing a bounty not actually capturing someone. Also there aren't many extremely uneven surfaces on Kashyyk, the only ones I can think of are on the mountains and the two hills/slopes leading to the bunker area. While Kashyyyk could prove as a decent RP spot I feel like a black market and corrupt city feel would be most appropriate for a good RP zone. Also to mention that Kashyyyk doesn't have nearly as many structures as Tatooine and thus putting more entities on the server.

Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of these ideas. This is though, we lack the player count for a tatooine faction, we lack the server resources and time to make/use an npc run tatooine faction with that level of depth. And we did use to have a cantina, not sure if it was before your time or not but the cantina was dead soooo much. The only time it wasn't dead was when croc, or another rp oriented player would try and bartend or start an event. But it would usually end quickly or in chaos.

make the crystal spawns be higher tier on Tatooine. we did a random occupation with vehicles and factions traded vehicles in a war. was fun and did not end in chaos. also Kiggs has been doing his far out bar clout a few times. actually only twice and one waa a birthday party for Galen Kenobi...2016 yrs old.

Bring back the Cantina. It was an absolute hub for rp back in 2.0 because it was a no combat zone, you could rp drinks, and there was a tv for entertainment (which was what caused me to find out about Iroconian's channel).
You don't have to bring back the tv if it causes a problem, but if you're worried about tatooine being a kill-festival, it would be wise to give us more safe-zones.
