Why do you want to become a Gamemaster?
I love creating unique scenarios for players that differ from the typical functions of the server. Events like going into a ancient temple, figuring out puzzles, killing strong enemies, and finding lore is something that doesn't happen on the server on its own. I love being able to express my creativity in a game that is dear and true to me.
Why should the community support your application, and what makes you more qualified than other players?
The community should support my application because I have previous experience as a gamemaster and therefore know what the players want. My time as a Lead Event Coordinator taught me what makes people like or dislike events. Other candidates may not have this previous experience, which, in this role is vital to providing the players with an exceptional experience. I am also well-liked in the community and even though I am a dark council member, I can communicate and have fun with the jedi council when it's appropriate.
Have you ever assisted in an event on Reborn in the past?
I have not.
How well could you adapt to unplanned circumstances in something you have planned?
It would depend on the severity, but, I'm going to assume it's something along the lines of a part of an event broke. In this case, If the players were already in the area that broke, I would motion the players back to a working area using things like NPC's or RP dialogue. In almost all cases you want to try and fix the problem without comprising the experience. The more you can get players immersed in what you have made, the better it is enjoyed by players.
What interests you most in the Star Wars universe?
I am a big fan of side-lore in star wars, lore that may not even be canon but is very interesting, like Revan. While main-line star wars has great lore it gets held back by the time and restrictions it takes to make main stream star wars movies or shows. However, when you have stuff like the bad batch you get to see an interesting part of star wars many people wondered about such as the transition from clones to the empire. Stories such as, the inquisitors, republic commandos, and more are very interesting.
Now, taking what most interests you, craft a high-quality multi-part storyline (with characters, branches, anything that you see fit) that you could create multiple events from.
- Sith Lord Dynamix sends out a distress signal in order to help find his superior Darth Excrusis who was with him on a mission.
- Dynamix explains how his superior was acting weird during his mission after he collected a artifact from a crystal rock
- Dynamix will throw an orb on the ground and create a mystical portal which creates a connection to their last known anchor point in the other dimension where players will head through.
- Players will have to solve puzzles such as learning a new ancient language through exploring the environment and using that to summon enemies which open doors once defeated.
- Throughout the event, Dynamix will give details about Darth Excrusis and the environment they are in, it should be fairly present that they were up to something that would not be looked good upon for jedi or sith.
- There will be options for side areas to be explored and different resolutions for Darth Excrusis near the end of the event
If your application is accepted, you will be required to start a multi-event storyline as part of your trial. It is recommended that this be the first draft of that storyline.
