Removal of Troopers

I think we all can agree that troopers are very annoying. My experience today with troopers is not very well. Today a trooper captain named Justice had his troopers go on a killing spree outside and inside of the Jedi temple, killing everyone they wanted. I, a Jedi Council member, ordered them to stop as they kept RDM'ing. They did not stop though, they continued to do so, with Justice being sarcastic saying lets not fight in the front of the temple, lets go to the back! Troopers especially RT obviously think they are better than everyone else, and can break server rules, and rp rules. Therefore I feel we should have them removed. If we lose troopers, I think we would see many more Jedi/Sith/EE members on.

The RT was not killing everyone they where killing everyone that was participating like me and other RT.The worse thing that happened was a few shots could of hit others but no one that was not participating was killed.

Most bad impressions on troopers are created by the RT's as some of them (Not all) tend to be toxic sometimes and mingey which annoys not only me as a Jedi but a lot of other people

We held a training exercise on Tython, no non participants were killed, however Shawn got shot because one PVT mistook him for a different trooper that also had a CC that showed up as an error. The troopers were all respectful of the planet and did this quite a distance away from the temple near the warp. There were 8 participants in all and the DA was inadequate for the training we wanted to do. As captain I take responsibility for any flaws in my training exercise but it was not baseless, and definitely not just RDM. When we were told to stop fighting in front of the temple I jokingly said, "Everyone to the back of the temple". People are constantly fighting in front of the temple, troopers should not be excluded from this. We have training needs as well and at the time of this happening there were more troopers on than Jedi. Not to mention at a different point a council member himself participated in this exercise with my men. These allegations are baseless and fraudulent through and through.

To your point about removing troopers, the troopers provide a nice balance to the game, it adds a faction that allows people to participate in unique events and gameplay mechanics that they don't get as Jedi. Concurrently, a lot of players do not like the Saber Dueling in JvS and adding blasters allows for the server to increase it's player base. In a time when the server is experiencing reduced player numbers, excluding the factions that contain a large percentage of the active players is shortsighted and ill advised.

Shawn you clearly have an issue with people doing things that aren't exactly what you want. Getting pissed off because troopers are shooting in front of the temple and having fun during DT is childish.

The only Problem RT have at this point in time is toxicity. Which i hope is being dealt with, and Shawn im sorry that some of my Troopers where behaving like Monkeys. But Troopers are a important Part of this Server so the removal would also get all the Trooper Mains we have on this Server (Which are quite alot tbh) to leave. So calling for the Removal of all Troopers to fix the Problem is just plain stupid. But calling for the Removal of the Toxic/Mingy Troopers would fix the Problem and wont anger the Trooper Mains we have. And calling that Justice called for RT to kill everyone is just wrong. Some RT (and some Jedi) where having a FFA infront of the Temple, Sadly the Aim of the RT is not that good so they hit some Jedi in the Crossfire

First of all: In the event troopers were removed, what would happen to those with trooper CCs? I think it's ignorant for one Jedi council to cry about a situation whilst exaggerating the facts and get one of the major aspects of the server removed. Not only has there been a lot of development time been put into troopers but also a lot of money from the players with CCs for the class. As someone who was present the situation was not as described. The troopers did a mass FFA outside the temple. Whilst it was true in the course a few were hurt, we NEVER went out of our way to kill anyone we didn't know was participating. I feel like since Shawn was not fully aware of what was happening as he was not in the discord. Whilst it is true we did not listen to instructions I do not feel like it would in ANY WAY removing troopers for such a thing is anything but ridiculous. I feel like you need to stop acting so dramatically on things that really aren't as bad as you make them out to be.

You guys literally kept firing on everyone not just troopers. If you want to do a full FFA do it on an open pvp planet like kashyyyk.

A better response as a gamemaster would be to maybe set something up that would have been adequate for our training and not just flip the fuck out and make a forum post lmao

Dude we had 8 active participants as well as Galen and Quinlan which participated at one point. 6 RT and 2 Jedi. It was not random, we were all in discord together.

You couldve asked in @ chat for you guys to have someone set up for a training rather than firing down on people who just exit the temple, which im sure other jedi like @Zyon can vouch for that

I was attacking Dredd cause I seem to hate huskies and they fired on me but I wasn't complaining I was laughing and being toxic at Dredd. Take your hatred on Dredd(jk)
